Albert William Schlesinger, age 82 resident of Doylestown, PA, formerly of Bohemia, NY, finished his race and went home to be with his Lord on March 24, 2024.
Al was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 6, 1941, and moved to his longtime home in Bohemia at age 9. He was a graduate of Sayville High School. He graduated from Ryder College and started his accounting career. It was at college he met his wife, Rosemarie. They married in 1964 and his family started growing in 1967 with the birth of his firstborn, Albert; then Christopher and Jennifer. Some years after raising his family and retiring, he moved to live with his daughter and family in PA, before reaching his Heavenly forever home with Jesus.
First and foremost he was a loving and compassionate husband, protector and provider for 59 years. He and his wife shared a love for God, His Word- the Bible, family, church family, & friends. As a couple, they served the Lord leading a Bible study for many years.
As a father, his unconditional love and Godly example left a priceless legacy. His simplicity, genuineness and humility were evident. He enjoyed taking an annual vacation to Lake Placid to enjoy the mountains with his family.
His faith was active and he attended Gospel Community Church where he served as an Elder and Treasurer.
One of his favorite pastimes was spending time making memories with his grandsons. He also enjoyed baseball, taking joy rides, and a good game of pinochle.
Al is survived by his wife of 59 years Rosemarie, his children Albert Paul and Christopher Schlesinger, his daughter, Jennifer Brogan and her husband John and his grandsons Patrick, Alex, and Andrew Brogan.
